Dr. Sears’ L.E.A.N. is a family of workshops that educate and support parents, caregivers, children and expecting moms in the four pillars of health: Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition.

All workshops are taught by Dr. Sears’ Certified L.E.A.N. Coaches using professionally created materials.  The objective of these programs is to teach families simple ways to improve their health.  The workshops currently available are as follows:

L.E.A.N. Start is a workshop that meets either for six 1-hour or three 2-hour sessions where parents or caregivers of children ages 3 to 12 years of age meet for one or two hours per week and learn 12 components of the L.E.A.N. Start program, such as Traffic Light Eating, Brainy Breakfasts, the Truth About Fats and Powering up with Protein and Play.  Learn more about L.E.A.N. Start.

L.E.A.N. Essentials is a one-time, two-hour workshop where parents or caregivers of children ages 3 to12 years of age meet and learn simple strategies to enhance their children’s health through topics like Traffic Light Eating, Brainy Breakfasts and Watering their growing children.  These topics are similar to the topics taught in L.E.A.N. Start, however the time allotted to each topic is very brief and less in depth than L.E.A.N. Start.  Learn more about L.E.A.N. Essentials.

L.E.A.N. Expectations is a workshop consisting of three individual, two-hour classes.  These classes can be taken one at a time or as a series and can be taken at any time from pre-pregnancy through the first trimester of post-partum.  Each class is appropriate for any stage of pregnancy based on the needs of the participant.  As part of the class, expectant parents will receive the appropriate L.E.A.N.
