Scientific studies document that eating candy increases a child’s risk of later life cancer, ADHD, aggression, emotional and psychiatric diseases, and decreases intelligence. It may even increase the likelihood of violent criminal behavior, and will invariably result in eating patterns that can lead to a troubled and painful later life.
Call to Action:
There are other ways to have fun with children besides feeding them harmful foods and have a safe and healthy Halloween (if you celebrate it at all.) Therefore, be creative, play games, think of tricks and treats that are wholesome. Give away super balls, silly putty, yo-yos, gyroscopes, fancy pencils, or other inexpensive gifts bought at a dollar store for children.
To your wellness,
p.s. Candy is TRICK not treat! Give health not harm (diabetes, obesity, cavities, ADHD, etc.)
