Good news for those who say they don’t have time to exercise! You don’t have to do your exercise routine all in one hour for optimal results. Here’s why:
A research team studied a group of people who exercised for 40 minutes a day, all using a home treadmill. Half the group exercised for one continuous session and the other half exercised for four ten-minute sessions a day. The group doing the shorter sessions lost weight at the same rate as the group exercising for one long session.
Call to Action:
You can do the same thing 😀
- using a treadmill as the research team used or
- with a quick walk before work,
- during lunch,
- for a 10-minute break during the day,
- after work,
- or in the evening.
This will almost seem like you aren’t even exercising at all, but your muscles will know the difference.
The key is to schedule it, stick with your plan and don’t allow yourself to make excuses. “So exercise when you want and in the way you want.”
