Raw nuts are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can consume. Nuts are good sources of protein, fiber, healthy fats (cholesterol-free monounsaturated fats), vitamin E, calcium, and numerous other vitamins and minerals. They have one of the highest satiety factors of any food, which makes you feel full and satisfied.
According to science, those who eat nuts typically:
- are leaner
- have less heart disease
- have lower blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides
- suffer fewer gallstones
Call to Action:
Eat a handful of raw nuts instead of chips or other unhealthy snack foods. This tip will help you eat less at the next meal. And be sure they don’t have chemical additives like MSG!
Although nuts are high in calories and fat, they are healthy in both. Unless you overeat them mindlessly they are unlikely to make you fat!
