A simple fact is those who eat better, live better.

Eat Better, Live BetterMuch of our adult lives are spent eating and sleeping, so we might as well enjoy it, right?  Research also shows that adults who sleep better, manage their stress better, and enjoy more satisfying sex live longer and healthier.  Do I have your attention?  A simple fact is those who eat better, live better.

For a food to qualify as a “superfood” it should:

  • be nutrient dense (provide nutrition with fewer calories)
  • contain nutrients that have been proven to be beneficial
  • more natural (its original state) vs. manufactured
  • be satisfying and taste good
  • be able to be prepared in a variety of ways
  • contain no harmful ingredients to your health

Call to Action:

To insure well-being what you eat is an important component so start eating as many of these superfoods as you can each day:

  • Avocados
  • Beans and lentils
  • Berries, especially blueberries
  • Broccoli
  • Flaxseed meal (grind your own!)
  • Garlic
  • Nuts
  • Olive oil
  • Pomegranates
  • Red onions
  • Seafood, especially cold-water fish like salmon (not farm raised)
  • Spinach (should be organic)
  • Tofu (organic, Non-GMO soy only)
  • Tomatoes
  • Yogurt (organic varieties)
