Cravings are the body’s natural, defensive response to nutritional deficiencies. It’s our body’s way of saying, “Hey, give me what I need, now!” The problem with cravings is that when they are in response to unhealthy eating (like skipping breakfast), they lead us to crave unhealthy things (like binging on the wrong carbs), which in turn throws our hormones out of balance –leading to more unhealthy cravings and this cycle repeats itself.
Call to Action:
If you eat nutritious foods in the right amounts and at the right times of day, your body won’t build up cravings that lead you to binge. You’ll eat just the right amount to keep your hormones in balance, so you also will avoid the hormonal surges that can also lead to unhealthy cravings.
