Children model what they see their parents doing or not doing. If you or your spouse is a picky eater and refuses to eat healthy foods like vegetables or whole grain foods, it’s time to grow up and demonstrate for your child how to be a healthy eater.
Call to Action:
- Observe and note what healthy foods you refuse to eat in front of your children.
- Make an effort today to eat a small portion and expect your child to also. (The one-bite rule can apply to adults too!)
As parents or guardians, we must set the tone with a good example. After all, how else are children going to learn to eat healthy while young and forming good habits?
