Here’s a healthier version to use in place of recipes calling for instant biscuit mix.
2 1/2 cups soft white wheat flour (pastry flour)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. Celtic sea salt
Cut in 5 Tbsp. organic unsalted butter
Note: This recipe is the basic self-rising flour recipe with the butter added. This is a substitute for Bisquik®. The reason the above recipe is healthier, especially if you’ve ground your flour fresh, is because of no additional preservatives to make it last longer sitting on a shelf for months.
