Yield:  4-6 servings

Ingredients:

8 Golden Delicious apples, peeled and sliced in thin wedges

10 graham crackers, crumbled

2 Tbsp. Sucanat with molasses (in place of brown sugar)

3 Tbsp. unsalted organic butter or Earth Balance

1/2 cup raisins (optional)*

Preparation:

Arrange sliced apples in rows in an oven-safe ceramic or glass dish.

Mix graham crackers, butter, and Sucanat together and sprinkle over apples.

Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of water over the top and bake at 350 degrees F. for one (1) hour or until apples are tender.


*Apple Crisp Recipe Variations
:

To make an apple cranberry crisp substitute fresh or dried cranberries for the raisins.

For blueberry apple crisp substitute fresh or frozen blueberries for the raisins.
